Jonas Regan is an associate with Barker Rosholt & Simpson where he practices in the areas of water, natural resources, trusts, and estates. He provides support to a variety of private, government, and investment clients on environmental and water issues facing western states. His work focuses on water scarcity issues, state and federal regulation, and providing general legal support for projects ranging from contract disputes to protecting grazing and mineral claims.
Jonas’ experience includes the investigation of public and private water rights issues; research, analysis, and counseling for a variety of public and private clients on western water policy; environmental permitting and compliance; analysis and enforcement of federal grazing permits; and environmental regulatory enforcement litigation.
Jonas’ prior experience includes working for Culp & Kelly LLP, a private law firm focused on water law and policy throughout the Colorado River watershed, and the arid West, and the Environmental and Natural Resource Law Clinic, a nonprofit law center where he help developed toxic pollutant regulations for the Vermont Legislature. He also has experience in marine ecosystem, ecological, and economic research.
Education: B.A. in environmental economics with a minor in biology from Hendrix college (2015); J.D. Vermont Law School, magna cum laude (2017)
